Her Game Academy · Basketball Development System

Train with a purpose.

Her Game Academy is a complete player-development system built exclusively for female basketball players — where you are, what you need, what you train, and how you progress. A structured pathway from eight years old to the college game, never a random pile of workouts.

Why this exists

Most players are training without a map

A 12-year-old beginner shouldn't train like a 17-year-old varsity player. A freshman guard trying to make varsity shouldn't follow the same program as a college athlete. Yet most of online basketball training is just “here's today's workout.”

  • Players don't actually know what they should be working on
  • Generic workouts handed to everyone, regardless of age or level
  • Random drills collected from TikTok and YouTube
  • No structured progression from one skill to the next
  • Confusion about how to train strength and athleticism
  • Skills that never connect back to game situations
  • Training with no benchmarks — no way to measure growth

What we believe

The philosophy: development, not drills

Everything in the Academy runs on five beliefs. They decide what we teach, how training is ordered, and what we refuse to do.

Development, not drills.

  • 5beliefs that run the whole system
  • 4books, one pathway
  • 3pillars: shooting, ball handling, finishing

A development system, not workouts

The product isn't a library of workouts. It's a curriculum — organized by age, skill level, position, weaknesses, and goals. Every athlete enters the system at a specific developmental level and receives a plan that says: where you are, what you need, what you train, how you progress, what's next.

Built for the women's game

Everything — the curriculum, the progressions, the athletic development, the support — is designed exclusively around female basketball players and their development environment. Not a men's program with a different logo.

Three pillars, matched to the athlete's age

The core of every player's game is built on three pillars: shooting, ball handling, and finishing. Athletic development — deceleration, first-step explosiveness, landing mechanics, single-leg strength, and speed — is layered in at the age where it actually belongs, not before.

Progress you can measure

Training without benchmarks is guessing. Every athlete gets a Player Development Profile with pillar scores and a top-three priority list, monthly assessments that gate the next chapter, and a training log that shows growth in numbers — not vibes.

Self-paced, structured like a book

Athletes juggle school and team ball. The system is self-paced: Book (your level) → Chapter (your month) → Phase (your week) → Workout (your day). We recommend four training days a week, and the final phase of every chapter is a test-and-review week that doubles as a catch-up week.

We don't just give athletes workouts. We develop basketball players. We sell development — and a pathway.

The curriculum

The Player Development Pathway

Four books. Each book is an age level built around 64 training days, written as a real curriculum: Book (your level) → Chapter (your month) → Phase (your week) → Workout (your day). And one rule runs through everything: your age determines your training environment — your skill level determines your chapter.

Book — your levelOne book per age group. Eight years old through the college game. 64 training days each.
Chapter — your monthFour chapters per book. Each chapter is a month of training inside one track.
Phase — your weekFour phases per chapter — four training days each. Phase 4 is always test & review week.
Workout — your dayA structured session: warm-up, skill blocks, and — from 14+ — an athletic finisher.

Book 1

The Learner

  • Basic ball handling and weak-hand development
  • Shot-form fundamentals, balance, and layup mechanics
  • Pivots, jump stops, shot fakes — and no traveling
  • Court vocabulary, rules, and keeping the eyes up

Every workout: warm-up + ball handling + finishing + shooting. Max three drills per section — difficulty built for real 8-to-10-year-olds.

Book 2

The Apprentice

  • Change of pace, hesitations, combination moves
  • Finishing with a Euro step, floater, and contact prep
  • Shot creation: off movement, hand-offs, pull-ups
  • Combo chains, timed reads, and game integration

The harder moves cut from Book 1 make their first appearance here — this is where the handle gets real.

Book 3

The Breakthrough

  • Separation, change of pace, and the full pick-and-roll curriculum
  • Contact finishing: bump finishes, and-ones, second-effort plays
  • Game-speed creation: step-backs, DHO reads, transition threes
  • Athletic Development finisher every workout (5–10 min)

The Athletic Development finisher debuts here — deceleration, first-step explosiveness, landing mechanics, single-leg strength, core, and sprints. This is the age where that work belongs.

Book 4

The Prospect

  • Position-specific tracks: guard, wing, and post development
  • Clutch curriculum: step-back threes, late-clock scoring, pressure free throws
  • College movement and IQ: snake P&R, Spain action, advantage reads
  • Performance testing: 5-10-5, broad jump, sprint times recorded

Game-speed decision making, live simulations, and closing situations — the college and pro level of the pathway.

Getting started

How it works

Four steps — from your first assessment to your next unlocked chapter. Then the loop repeats: you always know exactly where you are and what comes next.

Get assessed

Start with the free assessment — Find Your Basketball Development Level — a questionnaire plus timed video tests for your handle, your shot, and your finishing. You get back a Player Development Profile: pillar scores and your top three priorities.

Start your book

Your profile places you where you actually belong. Age sets the environment; skill sets the chapter — so an advanced 10-year-old can test into either side of a boundary instead of training at the wrong level.

Train with purpose

Follow Book → Chapter → Phase → Workout at your own pace. Four training days a week recommended. Every chapter ends with a test-and-catch-up week, and athletic development is programmed in at the age where it belongs.

Test and unlock

Monthly assessments re-measure your profile. Pass the standards and you unlock the next chapter — with new scores, new priorities, and a new target. Watch your development in numbers.

Assess→Prescribe→Train→Measure→Progress→Repeat

This loop is the entire operating model of the Academy. Everything — every feature, every membership — exists to run it.

Questions

FAQ

Yes. The entire Academy — the curriculum, the progressions, the athletic development, and the support — is designed exclusively around female basketball players. It's our whole differentiator: a complete development system for the women's game, not an adapted version of someone else's program.

Every athlete starts with an assessment — a questionnaire plus timed video tests covering ball handling, shooting, and finishing. That produces your Player Development Profile: a score for each pillar and your top three priorities. Your profile recommends your starting book and chapter, so you never waste months training at the wrong level.

That's exactly what the chapter system is for. Our rule is: your age determines your training environment — your skill determines your chapter. An advanced 10-year-old can test into the older side of a boundary, and a beginner 13-year-old can start where she actually is instead of struggling through content she isn't ready for.

Yes. Each chapter is designed as a month of training, with four one-week phases — but you complete it on your own schedule. We recommend four training days a week. And the final phase of every chapter is a dedicated test-and-review week, which doubles as a catch-up week if life got in the way.

Every session is structured the same way: a warm-up, then blocks built around the three pillars — shooting, ball handling, finishing. From Book 3 (ages 14–17) on, each workout ends with a 5–10 minute Athletic Development finisher: deceleration, first-step explosiveness, landing mechanics, single-leg strength, and core work. Sessions scale from 45–60 minutes in Book 1 to 90–120 in Book 4.

Free drills give you workouts. Her Game Academy gives you a development system: a curriculum with a starting point and a progression, assessments that gate advancement, and benchmarks you can measure. “We don't sell drills — we build development, and a pathway.”

Founding memberships are launching soon — the books are written and the video library is now in production. Join the launch list at the bottom of this page and you'll be first in line for founding-member pricing.

  • Built for female basketball players, exclusively
  • Skills + strength + speed + athleticism + basketball IQ
